İhlas Colllege became first in Istanbul in Key English Test

We prove our success and achievements every year in international Cambridge Exams. And this year our school has become the most successful school in İstanbul.

Our success in English teaching has been approved by Cambridge University and our students rewarded their teachers’ efforts by being the best in İstanbul. The award ceremony was held in the conference center and our students were given their certificates and awards by the school principle.

Our team work hard to help our students reach a level where they are ready to enter the Cambridge Young Learners “Starter” examination after they finish the 4th grade. And after they have finished the 5th grade, we encourage them to enter the Cambridge Young Learner “Movers” examination.  Our aim is to teach our students the four basic skills and encourage them to utilize these skills. So, we prepare a convenient learning atmosphere in which our students can analyze and interpret a text they have read, express their feelings by writing short compositions and use English language effectively with drama and discussion activities.

After they have finished 6th class, our objective is to encourage our students to enter the Cambridge Young learner “Flyers” examination and the students of 7th and 8th classes are encouraged to be successful in KET and PET examinations which are administered by the University of Cambridge and evaluated by specific criteria including the students’ various levels of English knowledge and skills.

Why Cambridge ESOL Exams?

The Cambridge ESOL exams are known and recognized all over the English-speaking world by schools, universities, private and public sector employers. Success in a Cambridge ESOL exam provides you with an internationally recognized certificate showing the level you have attained in English.

The Cambridge Young Learners English Tests Starters, Movers and Flyers are designed for children between the ages of seven and twelve. The Key English Test (KET) offers a basic qualification in English and is the first step for those who wish to progress to the Preliminary English Test (PET) and the remainder of the Cambridge ESOL exams. KET recognizes the ability to cope with everyday written and spoken communications at a basic level. KET is taken by more than 40,000 people each year, in more than 60 countries.

KET also uses language from real life situations and covers the four language skills - reading, writing, listening and speaking. It provides an assessment of practical skills, and encourages the development of abilities which can be used while traveling, as well as in study and working situations.
